Video Transfer

Video TransferAre you afraid the VCR is going to eat your wedding tape? Is your 8mm camcorder broken and you no longer can view your child’s first steps? Do you even own a VCR anymore? Did you know that VHS tape has a shelf life of only 10-15 years before it starts to degrade?

Video TransferVideotapes were once thought of as the very best way to save the family memories. They met our needs until we discovered that after 10 years or so, the images started fading and the tapes started breaking down. The bad news is that once deteriorated, the quality of the tape is for the most part, lost forever. Yes, with some color adjustment, we may be able to salvage some of your tapes, but many elements of your video can never be regained no matter how much correction we try to do to it.

We can take your VHS or Betamax tapes, Camcorder Cassettes including VHS-C, Hi 8, 8mm, Digital 8, Mini DV tapes and MiniDVDs and transfer them to DVD. By moving your tapes to DVD, you are converting them to a digital format, eliminating the deterioration process that tape goes through. DVDs are also easier to copy than VHS tapes. Making disk copies for family members promotes family bonding and makes great gifts.
